Meet the Owner

Maureen knew at an early age she wanted to have her own store!  She practiced her passion-- constantly redecorating her room, sewing her own clothing, and visiting museums deepening her love of art and design.  After graduating from Jasper High School, she attended Indiana University majoring in Business.  Post-college, she gained retail experience in women’s designer clothing at Ann Taylor in Cambridge, MA and as an assistant-buyer at Filene’s Department Store in Boston, MA.  Strong roots eventually brought Maureen and her husband, Mike, back to their hometown of Jasper, IN.  In 1978, with lots of hard work and energy from Maureen and her family and friends, it was time to make a lifelong dream come true—the opening of her own store, Finishing Touches!
